The design of this knife came about thanks to my daughter growing from an toddler into an active child with an interest in woodland environments, with sausages cooked over a fire and toasted marshmallows being a particular favorite. As our woodland walks developed i came to realise that a full sized “bushcraft” knife was unnecessary while a pocket knife or neck knife were not right either.
After a bit of thought about my requirements –
compact size, versatile comfortable handle, strong blade for medium duty tasks but capable of detail work also
The prototype was made and basically did exactly what i wanted. While the design process seemed to fall into place fairly easily, naming the new knife proved more difficult. The first order for this model came in before i had a suitable name so as a stopgap and so i knew what model customers were discussing with me i tongue in cheek called it ‘Nameless”
I liked the irony of it so that was it.
